About Me
Hey there,

My name is Bella Casatico, I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California but I have bounced around quite a bit since then. Immediately after high school I headed to Auburn Alabama to pursue a degree in Human Development. My time in Auburn really helped me to grow as an individual and discover my passions. It was during my time at Auburn that I felt called to pursue a career in nursing.

While it was not an easy path after a few years of working as a medical assistant to gain experience while taking night classes to complete prerequisites I was accepted to an accelerated second degree nursing program. I once again moved across the country, this time to Cleveland Ohio to attend Ursuline College. While there I developed a strong sense of my capabilities as a future nurse and my passion continued to grow. My clinical experiences at Cleveland Clinic were amazing learning opportunities where I worked primarily one on one with nurse preceptors to develop key nursing skills and care for patients in various settings.

My drive in nursing is deeply rooted in my desire to be one of the change makers in healthcare. When I chose to go down this difficult path it was after discovering that the United States had the highest infant mortality rate and maternal death rate of any developed country. Learning that changed the whole course of my life and is what sent me on this amazing nursing journey. Later while in my nursing program I learned that one in four women experience birth trauma and I made a goal of being one of the nurses who helps to change that statistic throughout my career.

After nursing school I landed my dream job at a critical access hospital in Livingston MT working in a Family Birth Center where I got to care for patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. I have loved every minute of developing my skills and expertise as a LDRP nurse over the last four years. I have been a part of over a hundred incredibly special deliveries and have taken care of even more families during various stages of pregnancy and postpartum. I like to think I have made a difference within our community here - always striving to provide compassionate care through education and patient empowerment.

I am always up for new challenges and I enjoy learning new things so I am always on the lookout for ways I can improve my nursing skills, enhance my education, and provide the best possible care to my patients.I look forward to seeing how my nursing career evolves and changes over the next several years.
